12 Day Uganda and Rwanda Safari

Day 1: You will warmly be welcomed by our profes  sional guide at the airport. After ashort transfer to the hotel for lunch the guide will be brief about you safari. Then drive through the beautiful terraced hillsides to the base of the awesome volcanoes you can have an opportunity to see the five peaks. Overnight at the Lodge. (FB).

Day 2: Go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Depending on how far the gorillas are and the weather, you can either spend with them an hour or take a full day with them. Overnight at the Lodge (FB)

Day 3:
After breakfast, you can either visit the golden monkeys or drive to Gisenyi and visit Ross Carr's orphanage and Lake Kivu or climb the Visoke/Muhavura volcanoes, or trek to Dian Fossey's grave, or visit the local school, community projects or walk to Lake Bulera. Overnight at the Lodge (FB).

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi through the Switzerland of Africa, with the road winding through many hills and valleys, with distant views of the volcanoes and lakes. Incase you get their early; you will go for the forest walk. Overnight at the Lodge (FB).

Day 5: Go gorilla tracking in Bwindi. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Depending on how far the gorillas are and the weather, you can either spend with them an hour or take a full day with them. Incase you come out early; you will go for a village walk. Overnight at the Lodge (FB).

Day 6: After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have an evening game drive which will give you an opportunity to see different animals. Overnight at the Lodge. FB

Day 7:
Have an early morning Game drive where you have an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck with the help of the guide. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This boat cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Overnight at the Lodge (FB).

Day 8: After breakfast, you can either proceed to Kyambura Gorge for Chimp tracking or go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest to see other primates and to visit the bat cave and the blue lake. Then transfer to Kibale Forest national park. Overnight at the Lodge (FB).

Day 9: After breakfast go to the hot springs and crown the day in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri Rainforest. The visit to the villages has proven to be an interesting cultural experience. The guide will have lunch arranged for you to be served as a picnic while you experience the "real Africa". Afternoon transfer to Fort Portal and arrive this evening at the Lodge. FB

Day 10: Early morning go for chimpanzee tracking which will start from Kanyanchu River Camp. This will give you an opportunity to see primates including l’hoestes, red colobus, and blue red tailed and gray cheeked mangabey. The guide who will give you detailed information on primates, forest, flora and fauna. After lunch, visit to Bigodi swamp which will give you an opportunity see other small mammals and birds. Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 11: After an early morning breakfast, leisurely drive back to Kampala with a stop over for lunch. Overnight at the Lodge. FB

Day 12: Transfer to the airport
