Murchison Falls National Park is regarded as the most interesting and largest National Park in Uganda covering the area of about 3,840 sq. km. Todate, Murchison Falls National Park is larger to upto 5,072 sq.kms including Bugungu wildlife reserves and the adjoining Karuma.
Murchison Falls National Park is found in the north western part of Uganda from shore of Lake Albert around the Victoria Nile and the park is known for its wildlife. Murchison Falls National Park is regarded as the oldest conservation park that was gazetted in 1926 as away of protecting the savanna. At Murchison Falls, the River Nile runs through a narrow crevice and after plunges 40 metres in one breathtaking leap.
