7 Day Kenya camping Safari

This is a 6 days camping safari that features two of the Rift Valley lakes - Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, including a walking safari at Crescent Island, one of the few places in the world where one can wonder freely on foot amidst wild animals (there are no predators) and also hiking at Hell's Gate National Park. The safari then proceeds to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you have the best opportunity to spot the "Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.

Facilities: Basic camping/guest house in Nakuru and Naivasha, semi-permanent campsite in Maasai Mara with pre-set tents equipped with beds & beddings. The camp has showers and flush toilets.

Day 1. Nairobi/Lake Nakuru

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley while enjoying the features there-in, to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive camp/guest house in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at camp/guest house.

Day 2: Naivasha - Hiking at Hell's Gate

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive in Nakuru, then depart for Naivasha after breakfast with lunch boxes. Arrive mid-morning for a hiking excursion at Hell's Gate National Park - descending into the gorges, a steep canyon with running water from geysers and wild vegetation, and where the rocks have split to leave a walking path. Afternoon game drive/walking safari in the park. Dinner and overnight at camp/guest house.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha/Maasai Mara

Morning boat ride on Lake Naivasha that takes you to Crescent Island for a guide walking safari. This is one of the few places in the world where one can walk freely amidst wild animals - there are no predators.
Depart mid-morning and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara with hot or picnic lunch enroute. Arrive Mara in time for afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4 & 5: Maasai Mara

Two full days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Nairobi

Depart Maasai Mara in the morning and drive back to Nairobi with hot or picnic lunch en route, arriving in the afternoon. End of services.
